The duo brought on board a vision of transforming the way people viewed computers. Apart from venturing into the computer market, the Apple has also diversified into iPod and media player software. These two products have also seen good days in the market as they have become very popular across the age divide. For the sake of this study, it is important to mention that before the entrance of the Apple Company, Smartphone industry was dominated by the Canadian giant Research in Motion. The company had penetrated the market very well until the Apple emerged, and quickly overturned the tables. The major competitor of Apple’s iPh one is the Google products such as the Android operating system (OS) that is incorporated in a majority of non-Apple gadgets produced by Samsung, Huawei, Sony, HTC, Lenovo, and others. Philip defines the marketing mix as a business tool used in marketing. The tool facilitates a deep analysis of various aspects of a product so as to appeal to potential clients. Through the adoption of the marketing mix, the performance of the iPhone has increased significantly. Its assimilation in for the purpose of sales and marketing can explain the tremendous profitability, efficiency and the increased sales of a phone in the recent past.
